ACTIVITIES

The project is structured into three key actions, independent but connected, whose activities are aimed to achieve specific outputs and outcomes.
Elaboration and diffusion of a study of best practices in the use of artistic disciplines and approaches, experiments aimed at the development of "entrepreneurial spirit" within primary and secondary junior schools in the countries involved in the project partnership: a report will be prepared consisting of 5 researches on a national level and a transnational chapter. The research will be qualitative and will be implemented in the following phases: planning, preparation of the research design, construction of the empirical documentation; analysis of the documentation, communication of the results, preparing reports.
Definition of a specific curriculum aimed at school operators, in particular teachers and schools headmasters, in order to let them acquire specific competences regarding the use of the artistic disciplines like tools and didactic approaches important for the pupil's experience growth, development of cross competences, in particular linguistic expression. Following the definition of the curriculum, it will be developed a corresponding study plan, divided into teaching modules, which will enable the design, promotion and implementation of 5 pilot courses, one for each country affected by the project. Each course will provide the participation of 15 school operators, in particular teachers and school headmasters; it will last 6 months and will be done in 60 hours, of which 30 hours for the classroom training, 10 for the distance training, 20 for self-training. The participants will attend a practical course joining the recreation workers in running the didactic workshops described below.

Setting up of didactic workshops for kids and boys and girls of primary and secondary junior schools that will involve participants in activities where the artistic disciplines are used to develop cross competences, individual attitudes and improve intercultural differences;
the artistic disciplines will be used to develop cross competences, highlight the individual attitudes and optimize intercultural differences. Each workshop will be led by a recreation worker, expert on the specific discipline that will be chosen in the design stage (one among creative writing, music, theatre, painting, sculpture, dance). The recreation worker will work together with a teacher of the class taking part in the workshop and with one of the participants in the pilot course (in this domain this one will do the practical training of the course).
Each workshop will involve one class.
Each of them will last 30 hours and each recreation worker will use the heuristic learning method. They will be set according to the projecting – operative method and will involve the participants in the activities in which arts are used to develop cross competences, highlight individuals attitudes and improve intercultural differences.
The frame game-growth regarding these activities will be that of the simulation and in the specific instance the organization and production of a performing event/show/artistic result. Within these two formal and contents frames we shall try to stimulate those competences linked to the literacy, studying particularly the role of "creative competences" to solve the problems regarding the expressive aspect. In this sense the workshop results could be useful to achieve useful results regarding the support of literacy, especially in relation to migrates kids. Within workshops there will be activities aimed at improving intercultural differences in order to fight different forms of intolerance and racism. The creative activities will give an opportunity to promote the respect towards the other person and will allow to get the knowledge of different cultural expressions developing in this way the reciprocal respect and understanding among children. The kids engaged in the creative activities will create in this way new spaces and possibility to communicate.

The project provides also the realization of:
- dissemination activities
Organization and carrying out, for each country involved in the project, of 3 dissemination workshops of the outputs of the main activities; the consortium will allow the connections (direct and through the relationship networks) with the most representative decision-makers in the field of interest of the project in order to assure the presence of at least 30 people for each workshop;
- exploitation activities
Dissemination transnational seminar aimed at the awakening and development of educational actions which are important for the spreading of literacy and development of cross competences among kids and youth.
Focus Group (01) aimed to develop a system of recognizing the learning credits and their transfer among partners' countries elaborating a common suggestion ECVET.
The objective is to allow the capitalization of acquired and acquirable competences and abilities during the pilot course. The work group should arrange at least 6 plenary meetings.
The proposal for the certifying model will be subject to the attention of training bodies, public bodies experts on education and training.
Focus Group (02) finalized to promote and validate the rise of c.l.a.b.s„ "creative learning area boards", committee of experts who will operate to systematize the project results elaborating suggestions to introduce or re-introduce the performing and/or artistic disciplines into school curricula and those of continuous and permanent training and workshop activities into the Project of the Annual Educational Offer of primary and secondary junior schools. These proposals will be subject to the attention of training bodies, school and educational institutions, public bodies experts on education and training.
The project started on 1 October 2011 and it will run for 24 months.
